SOLIDEA also stands for research on raw material quality. In-depth studies in this sector lead to selection and testing of the finest and most innovative yarns, able to give a product with performance levels and exceptional characteristics.
All this is made possible by production processes at the cutting edge that use electronic machines in climate-controlled work areas where constant temperature, humidity and pressure ensure high quality standards.
Exclusive tube weaving and use of yarns and fibers, the top quality of which is strictly controlled guarantee each product that is made with the utmost attention so as to effectively interpret health and body line problems.
Sample testing of the product already begins in the weaving room, checking the tube and its wearability. It proceeds through all subsequent processing phases on every single garment, each monitored during the entire production cycle.
Processing proceeds in the sewing department where the raw tube is closed at the end and then assembled with flat four-needle stitching and application of the hygienic gusset. Every garment is individually inspected before it goes to the dyeing department where, through a series of fixing phases, dyeing in dyeing cabinets and passage over the drying belt, the product takes on the desired hue characteristics.
Then Solidea products undergo further testing such as spectrophotometric color compliance testing. In addition, all products of the SOLIDEA collection have OEKO-TEX certificates that guarantee the non-toxic nature of all the chemicals used in the dyeing process.
The product, after it leaves the dyeing department but before it is packaged, undergoes a lamp test with setting at natural Kelvin light for a further test of color compliance, and the compression test measured in mmHg (millimeters of mercury) to check the degree of compression and elasticity of the garment. Compliance with provided standards lets them be certified by specific external bodies.
Packaging also calls for individual inspection of each garment. Packaging can be either manual or automatic according to the type of package required. Solidea stockings, tights and panties are placed, after packaging, in specific boxes designed to supply the totally robotized warehouse. The robot manages both incoming and outgoing goods in the warehouse, storing the boxes that come from production on specific shelves and carrying out shipping orders to customers.

Calzificio Pinelli also has a leading-edge customer service. When orders are received by fax or e-mail they are sent by the office directly to the robot, which works round-the-clock, to guarantee a superbly efficient service to customers. In this way orders are carried out in real time, leaving for their destination the day after they are received.
